A gentleman of fine taste
Born in a studio
Nobody knows exactly where he came from. The story told in the galleries is that he was found asleep under an easel in an old painter’s studio, curled in a top hat that was three sizes too big. He never took it off.
He grew up among canvases, turpentine and unfinished masterpieces. While the master painted, the Inu watched. He learned how light falls on a face, how a brushstroke carries a mood, and how nobody ever looks at the corners of a painting.
Painting himself in
It started as a joke. One night he climbed into a portrait and added himself to it, top hat and all. By morning nobody had noticed. So he did it again, and again, moving from one great work to the next.
Swirling night skies, famous smiles, screams on a bridge, quiet farmhouses. He visited them all. The paintings changed a little. The Inu didn’t change at all.
Never alone
Somewhere along the way he picked up a follower: a smaller, rounder Inu who can’t paint yet but never misses a chance to appear in the frame. He peeks over the master’s shoulder in almost every work. Collectors say that’s how you tell a real one.
Now on-chain
Today the collection lives on-chain, where nothing gets painted over. The museum is open to everyone, the studio is free, and anyone who holds a piece of it becomes part of the story.
